Has to be the worst book I've read.
Did the author discover a new word in 'banal' and decide to overuse it? Anyway, it's a new word I'd learned and it's one I'd use to describe the book - boring.
Nothing to the character other than an entitled child seeking to avenge her dead mother, which makes no sense when the mother was a lovely person. She would never even think to do such a thing.
Also, how does one get away with committing so many murders of close family members, and a pattern isn't recognised? I know it's fiction but it was too far fetched.
Why is there so much rambling? It's almost like an essay you've written on a bender and forgot to proof read, it's poor. Too much back and forth leaving the reader wondering when this is going to end.
To kill one person, the one who was only really wrong in all this would have been better, but to off 6 and not the main person? Banal if you ask me *yawn*
I'm struggling to see why readers found this book captivating.
