Beautiful scenery and costumes, the makings of a good period piece that never quite got there. The cgi was gorgeous but unbelievable. Good acting that would have benefited from clearer storylines. Some episodes were plot twists on twists. Still, I wanted to like it, I’d rank it higher but for the unnecessary violence and cruelty against children… sorry but I’m out.
