Many glitches that are hard to overlook. Controls stop working randomly during gunfights leaving you restarting the game just to replay a mission you finished halfway that isn’t even all that fun. Many game breaking glitches that cause restarts and destroy gunfights. These saints are not gangster. Dialogue is uninteresting and corny. Voice acting is not good from most voices but I did enjoy the southern male voice. It sounds like all the voices were recorded in a cupboard with padded walls which would be great for a podcast but just sounds off in conversations in this game. The map is a decent size but most of it is water or fairly empty desert. The graphics overall are great as far as beauty and quality. Streets feel vacant, SR3 remastered had more NPCs walking around and there’s hardly any cars driving on the street. Melee is horrible and terrorizing civilians has never felt worse. There are some good moments. Customization is amazing. You can get so many different outfits and cars, a lot of development was put into this feature. It really feels like one of those games that mimic every aspect of a popular game by taking all of the controls and systems and tweaking them slightly and changing the name hardly. Like if a game ripped off animal crossing and called it like animal valley or something like that. It’s almost like they didn’t even play test it and just rushed to get it out or maybe just focused resources on the wrong aspect of the game. I just don’t understand how in 2022 a game can be released in this sort of state and not have been passed through some sort of checks and balance system from the game developer or testers or something similar. How anyone could have played this game pre release and been like “yeah this is great and I loved that experience” is beyond me. I could see how they might be able to improve in some ways like glitches, combat and controls. I don’t, however, see them coming back from the missions not being fun and dialogue just being absolutely cringe-worthy. I really really wanted to like this game. I’ve played all of the saints games and been in love with the series since my first experience with SR2 and I can understand them wanting to reboot and take a new direction. But this right here is worse than any amount of super powers or off the wall space adventure or time traveling or whatever other wacky stuff they could’ve came up with. What we got instead was something no one expected. Not worth the money. Wait until it’s significantly cheaper or significantly improved. And I really do apologize to the game devs. Y’all tried your best honestly. I wish I didn’t have to rip saints like this. This was a lot better than I could do but dang I just wanted to enjoy this and it’s no good.
