Spoiler alert because the message seems to be that even good cops will commit grave crimes, and then cover them up w the connivance of other good cops, because they think they're 'doing justice' in the end. That you can't trust even good cops means none of them can be trusted, which I find a bit disheartening (even if sometimes true?). And yes, Denzel's acting is terrific, but in the service of a bummer of a script, surrounded by other actors that aren't. 1 star.
