Julia-Louise and Michaela and the actress playing their mom are wonderful. But I don't know why casting agents keep casting English people to play Americans. We have plenty of good American actors and Tobias, who was good in The Crown, is not good here. He may have been more focused on the accent than on the actual character work-- neither are convincing. And I'm not sure the screenwriter has been to therapy before -- that's not how therapy sessions go. Therapy is about helping people get in touch with their feelings, not giving them advice about how to solve problems.

Wow, bad acting by Mason and the kid, ouch. Script could use some help. Dreyfuss is the only thing this movie has going for it. I watched it because Illeana Douglass's book is excellent and she raves about it, but ugh. Move along, nothing to see here

Incredible cinematography and acting. I took away one star simply because the soundtrack could have been improved in my opinion. Difficult to not give this five stars though because it's an incredible achievement and admirable that they handled the story in such a respectful way. I have not seen the movie "Alive" and I probably will not after seeing this.

Huh? How does this movie have a 92% rating? Bad acting, bad script, horribly unnecessary killing of characters for no real reason. Ripoff versions of 80s music. Trash. Who are the people who like this (15 year olds?) and why?

Beautiful romance with hilarious laughs. Hanks at his best. Hannah is incredible in this. Levy is incredible in this. Candy, great. What a script. Movies used to actually be good.

It's very disturbing that there are bots or people on this site who copied and pasted negative reviews for this film dozens of times apparently because of their dislike for Obama. I never voted for Obama but I think movie reviews should be based on the merits of the movie, not on any political agenda Now for the review. Something feels off about this filmmaking. I wonder about the book, which I have not read, because this story feels somewhat empty and boring, trying to keep the viewer in suspense while giving vague plot points piece meal. At times it felt like this movie could have been made by AI. It was like someone chose the cast and then gave AI the rough details and asked AI to direct it. The emptiness, the lack of people around feels unnatural, not sure if that's what they were going for.

Huh? Anderson never got back to the level of Rushmore or Tenenbaums but keeps trying to tell stories in the same inaccessible way where actors say their lines like robots. What is he doing?

Oh my god I can't believe how bad the acting is on this show. I'm trying to understand why people like this show. I'm just finishing the second season now and oh my god, what is the deal? Deirdre Lovejoy gives some of the worst acting performances I've ever seen in my life. Looking at her filmography, I can't believe she's actually had a career. McNulty? That accent is ridiculous. Most of the white actors on this show are absolutely awful I did a two-year acting training and I understand how difficult it is, but this, I just can't understand how this was a successful show. Was it the director's fault? I don't understand how all this bad acting could have happened. Most of the African American actors are quite good, except for Kima (was really hoping her character would die in season one so I wouldn't have to watch the awful acting) and Daniels is nothing special.

A massive disappointing end to a beloved series. Not sure if Julian Fellows is losing his abilities due to age or something but there's not a single aspect of this film that is at all a respectable piece of work. The acting is atrocious, by most of the cast. The story is weak. The direction is clumsy. Hugh Bonneville has a strange tan, and just seems off. There are so many awkward attempts to wrap up every single character living up happily ever after. Half of the characters are just set dressing with no real dialigue or function. Mary and Mosely suddenly have cinematic skills and film production in the 1920s is apparently done in a single take and ADR (audio dialog replacement) is easy as pie. Let the series keep some respect in your mind and skip this, sure to win worst film of the year and other categories at the Raspberries
