Lipsticked actors and western horses prance on a set like Little House on the Prairie, speak Christian-ese, and ignore the brilliant details which should be admired in actual Amish daily life. And we who live here in Lancaster County reap the result of this inaccuracy in the embarrassing misconceptions of tourists who come here.
You will become dumber if you watch this movie but smarter if you meet real Amish. They are gracious geniuses.
