Author comes to the conclusion that Hendrix never achieved the mainstream success of Clapton…. if you understand music history you will know why this “truth” is irrelevant …1.Hendrix died at 27 years old in 1970 just as rock and roll was gaining the largest mainstream audience possible 2. Clapton watered down his music through most of the 1970s and 80s to sell the most records possible to a mass audience
