Honestly, I wanted to quit watching this movie about half way through. It was too depressing to watch someone go down the destructive path of addiction, and hit rock bottom. It reminded me of the "prodigal son" in the bible who received his inheritence early and ended up eating with the pigs. I decided to continue watching because it is loosely based on true events, (and the prodigal son story taught us about unconditional love, forgiveness, and redemption). It is a raw movie with plenty of swearing, but it did show us how one person can make a positive difference in someones life.
