This movie was disappointing in many ways. First of all, Skye is NOT the smallest pup, Liberty is. And Liberty never complains about being the smallest, or pouts about it. But the whole movie revolves around poor Skye and her pouting that she's "small." She's a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix. She's not a small dog breed, she's a medium dog breed.
Secondly, the villian is very annoying and obnoxious. Her character is very cringe. I get it, she's a "bad guy," but even Humdinger is tolerable and even relatable at times in the Paw Patrol tv series. They made her way over the top and her character seems forced.
And then there's the fact that Ryder and the other pups just forget about Skye because she loses her powers and they won't let her join in on the mission because it's too "dangerous." Same with Liberty, because she didn't have powers until the end of the movie.
This definitely could've been a good sequel if they'd put more thought into it. Even my kiddos didn't care much for it. They loved the first movie though.
