I feel this is a cooking competition that tries too hard. Like they have a chip on their shoulder against Bravos Top Chef. Every show at least one person will say TOC is the best in the world. There’s lots of glitz and supposed buildups to the rounds but it all falls flat for me as they try to make the chefs into “warriors” who face off in weird cooking competitions using the randomizer. By the last show, I was fast forwarding to the end of each challenge to see who won. Honestly, I really didn’t care.
