I’ve always loved the show, and I am super excited and am enjoying the Netflix version currently as well. The only thing that bugs me is the Netflix series makes Bee a bit smaller, which makes her look no longer plus-size. Besides that, I love it; I, too, highly recommend watching the original series ofc! Though watching the original series is not necessary, it too is essential to note that these series are separate and run differently with cross-over plot points. Bee and Puppycat Lazy in Space don’t exist; it, instead, is Bee and Puppycat, a complete remake and re-imagination of the series! Have fun watching!!! P.s. Rhe show is similar to Steven Universe and Adventure Time, if you like these show I strongly recommend watching. The T.V. show as well has some adult themes and concepts which are also appealing to watch; thanks for reading!
