Despite all the bad reviews from critics, this movie is great! The music, the acting, the story, everything is great! I've been a fan of the 2003 movie with Eddie Murphy ever since I first saw it, and I think this movie ties with that one! No, this movie isn't a sequel to the 2003 movie (I'm glad it isn't) It tells a new story using the iconic character in a new rendition while including the ride's canon story (a little more that the 2003 version too.) I'm a junkie for hidden details and this movie did not disappoint !! My favorite animatronic from the ride has always been the hatbox ghost and I love how they expanded on him as a character in this movie instead of him being that one headless guy. I'm not a big fan of Jared Leto and luckily for me he does good in this movie!! Along with the other wonderful actors. Overall, a great movie!!

This book gives a darker feel to original classics everyone loves. No, its not all 'happy endings' or 'prince charming saves the day' but it has the main characters deal with their problems in different ways then the original. These stories left me with a new perspective, that not every story has to be happy in the end to be wonderful. This book sticks in my mind. After every chapter it leaves me fulfilled. It fuels my love for fairy tales and my love of darker stories, and it does this in a very beautiful way. The way the author writes the characters is outstanding. However, i do not recommend this for children! It has darker themes and fits for more of a tween/teen audience. Overall this book is wonderful and i see myself reading it over and over and enjoying every flip of the page!
