As much as I've always enjoyed Canadian Film Board movies - original, intelligently presented, polished - this is one of the best.
Taken from a true story, acted by the same people who lived it, this is such a touching, funny, haunting depiction of eight elderly women, left to cope for themselves, alone, in a lush wilderness.
Watching and listening to them as they expose themselves with almost embarrassing candor - wow - you'll never find a film from commercial Hollywood to top it.
