The movie was spectacular. The story was original and thought provoking. The casting was pinpoint and the acting phenomenal. It had everything in terms of taking you through the full gamut of emotions (laughter, crying, sadness, joy, surprise, etc…). Real life family drama. I would highly recommend if it weren’t for one thing. The disruption of LGBT narratives, especially regarding black men in this society. It is easily apparent that the powers at be are going to push their agenda relentlessly and without care or concern. It is sad because it is draining the joy out of the movie going experience because u know regardless of the storyline, there will be the needless disruption of these sexual themes and narratives. It’s really disheartening…
