If this is supposed to be Sorrentino's Amarcord, he fails spectacularly as its nowhere near as charming or interesting. With Sorrentino it's more style than substance whereas Fellini could seamlessly deliver both. This film's biggest crime is that it says very little and the characters are not as interesting as the director thinks. I really wanted to like this movie but was very disappointed.
