We went to see The Ocean at the End of the Lane last night in Cardiff. Easy to see why some would struggle with the plot, especially if you didn't know what to expect.
For me however, I got it, the portrayal of a child's imagination and how real their perceptions of reality can be. Quite simply, the best play I have ever seen. You were kept on the edge of your seat with the story telling and the visual delights you are presented with bordered on a magic show.
It was totally amazing and built to a wonderful emotional conclusion well deserved of the standing ovation delivered by the Cardiff audience.
Bravo.
