I have always had a hard time getting into anime. I've tried watching several of the most popular anime series, and just couldn't get into it, until I watched InuYasha. So I wasn't sure what to expect from this series, but I have been consistently pleasantly surprised with each passing episode. This series is not the same as it's parent series. The characters are not designed to be lift out replacements for the original series counterparts. They each have their own distinct personalities and morals and motivations. The story telling is a little different and can be confusing at times, but that makes sense within the narrative. We as the audience get to discover answers to these questions along with the characters in their journey through the series. And if you're only interested in the nostalgia of seeing characters we know and already love, there's plenty of that too and we're only 15 episodes in. All in all, if you're a fan of the original series, this is a beautiful addition to the world InuYasha gave us, and even if you're not, I definitely recommend giving it a shot, to decide for yourself if it's worth watching.
