Ok ok... we understand RA Salvator you are working through your growing old and trying to figure out what happens when you die , but you are making Drizzt Into a whiner. Thank goodness you have Zak , Entrari, and Jarlaxil or I would stop reading it. Jeez Louise I read these books for adventure and sword fighting not a phylisophical discussion of whether or not you believe in God. Not near as bad as that novella when the whole point was to say you don't like Guns. I have been reading Your Drizzt novels since the first one came out in 1986 so I took have been growing old with You. I understand writing is therapy for you. But it is laid on so thick it is cloying. It is sad now but I skip the Drizzt diary portions. I hope you find the truth and stop being as Confused as Drizzt it.
