I went into this game with very low expectations and completed it with a nice refreshing reminder that great games are still being made in the form of hidden gems like this. Had it not been for PS Plus, I would never have even known it existed, which is a shame.
Admittedly, the storyline is pretty goofy. But that is part of its overall charm. It's fun and not to be taken seriously, so it fits. Where it absolutely shines is contained in the world you play in. When I first jumped out of the book into the "real" world of where the book resides, it was the first time in a long time I was genuinely wowed about a gaming dynamic. And without giving away too much, there was a very meta like scene more towards the end involving the antagonist that was one of the most ingenious and creative moments I've experienced in gaming in long while.
For such a simple, lighthearted game that's not to be taken too seriously, it's incredibly brilliant and one that everyone of all ages should not miss out on. The devs really did a fantastic job with this one.
