Jack Matthews

I knew when I saw the previews there would probably be something peculiarly odd about this movie. Although not my cup of tea, the movie portrayed the sexual promiscuity of the period. Brilliant acting by all three women; gorgeous costuming; excellent knowledge of historical furnishings; great use of camera as if one were peering through a fishbowl. The music or should I say whistles became annoying and the ending left me perplexed. Would I recommend this film to friends? Probably not.
