I read the red mars series which was so very excellent...so I figured thia book would be good too. This first character should have been the focus for the whole book..the author should have let us follow his daily life . I did not fall in love with any other characters in this book especially Mary( she was so uninteresting!). I did like that the animals were taking the earth back. I Also wish the author would have delved more into the lesser characters lives. Such as the girl who was saving folks in her kayak and the people who were slaves on the boat........how did they get where they were ?.. I give it 2 🌟
