This book is well researched and an informative narrative which compares the caste system in India, the treatment of Jews during the holocaust, and the treatment of African Americans in the US dating back to founding of our country. It also examines the many subcasts in the US and the role each of us plays, consciously or subconsciously in maintaining this unjust system.
I wish the author would have touched on the Caste System in the Ottoman Empire (modern day Turkey) which led to the systematic murder of 300,000 Armenians from 1894-6 ordered by the Turkish Sultan Abdul Hamid. This was followed by the Turkish government orchestrated genocide of 1.5 million Armenians from 1915-23 . This is one example where the dominant caste was Muslim (Turks) and the subjugated people were Christian (Armenian and Greeks). The same dynamics were in play as during the Holocaust.
It is outrageous and immoral that Israel will not recognize the Armenian Genocide.
