I cannot believe that this is a brand new season. i just got through watching the original series and it BLEW MY MIND , especially given the fact I wasn't even born yet when the show first aired back in 1983.It's organic, nostalgic like essence as well as a-breath-of-fresh-air humor with a drive of tackling serious issues and in depth feel good moments makes this one of the most must-see shows of all time. Out of all the characters in the original my favorites are judge Harry stone , bailiff roz, and district attorney Dan Fielding. When I heard that NBC was doing a reboot, I had to thought to myself "there was no way they could top it" and when I found out that John larroquette was reprising role I said " YES HE'S BACK . Watch the original series first and you be the "judge"
