I love the book; this movie was awful and overly sentimental about mass death. It is clear that only the elite/wealthy republicans/capitalists are able to “enjoy mass death” and a sprawling pandemic. Instead they could have working as real doctors like the rest of us. I recommend reading the book; it’s incredible. However, it is clear the director misinterpreted the message. Although, Beautiful cinematography if you are primarily interested in aesthetic value over content and meaning.
