I've seen it several times and the fact that my family and I have visited the "house" twice makes one realize how remarkable they were able to survive as long as they did. The movie gives the illusion the apartment over the Frank store is larger than it was.
The store/apartment is located on a relatively busy Amsterdam street. The fact that they were able to stay undetected is almost unbelievable.
