We walked out on the movie before it was half over. Ultimately, pacing was a problem... each scene was difficult to get into and the joining of scenes was not compelling. Back story was awkwardly joined in by flashbacks to reinforce points already made. The music parts were hard to watch as Kingsley Ben Adir's lip syncing was sometimes off. A hard movie to get into, even for us as huge Marley fans. Jamaican accents were sometimes too thick to easily follow and they flowed freely. I think it tries so hard for realism that it loses story and ultimately empathy for us, the audience. There were young children in the family next to us and they were bored and figity... Will watch again at home to see if I was mistaken.
