I watched this movie last night with my husband and absolutely loved it!! I was born and grew up in Hawaii. I am of Hawaiian & Asian descent, so the story hit close to home and warmed my heart! I felt they did a pretty good job of portraying the time period and cultural tensions. I enjoyed it very much and made me miss my Hawaiian home because I have lived on the mainland for the last 35 years. Thank you for creating a beautiful, pure and memorable story of first love!
