This is a well crafted book that is an easy read. Ideal light reading whilst on holiday. However it’s anglocentric view of would likely happen after a global apocalypse is not very plausible and the idea that a country would make very like progress after several hundred years rather unbelievable. Many of the characters are two dimensional stereotypes. Not one of Mr Harris’s better books in my humble opinion.
