Listen to it on the cd but nothing beats the live performance. This is old and new, traditional and fresh in which you can experience a journey of a soul. The Requiem represented for me in parts, the reality of grief of the bereaved, the harshness of the departure of the soul and then, interspersed throughout, the melodic serenity of the souls journey. This was well represented as the hauntingly melodic cello solo picked up, sliding in as the coral ‘breath’ ended.
