This book is a good book, which talk about immigrant life, their obstacles, their hardship, and lot more.It is very interesting to see, how Ashima from bengali family came to the United States, and still did not forget her culture and her Indian heritage.Her husband was a professor at MIT, and Ashima never forget to cook food for him after a tiring day, and up at night.This couple has one daughter, and one son.They face problems growing up in the United States as they have to follow both Indian, and American culture.This story end in a very sad way, where Ashima's husband Ashoke died, her son was divorced, and Ashima thought of living six month in India, and six month in the USA.This story really connect with reality, and with my life as well.The author "Jhumpa Lahiri" did a great job, that attract all reader to read it, and have some good idea and knowledge about Indian language, culture, religion, and so forth.Therefore, reading this book is recommended.
