I have just returned from a visit to Lyme and so read Persuasion. I noticed it on NETFLIX and clicked on it and then thought is this the Austen adaptation that got all the terrible reviews. I thought well never mind give it a chance and really enjoyed it! I might not have given it a 5, if it hadn't been for all the negative reviews but it so outreached expectations that I couldn't help myself. The breaking of the fourth wall suits Austen perfectly.
