Headlining Benedict Cumberbatch was the only reason in the beginning that I started watching- and pushed through some of the confusion. Because you know that it has to be good with BC. My brain almost felt fried with the switch between hope, hate and confusion with sudden resolution. As the series neared the end, it was an emotional roller coaster that almost had me shouting 'what are you doing?!' and 'No!?!!' at the TV completely involuntarily. As a parent, you always have massive hope and every 2 moments, you try to work out the ending and reasons for why throughout following typical tv storylines but this series really does play your emotions like a violin until it finally ends with a concerto. Absolutely worth a watch!! Bear with it... it can feel like it's giving you whiplash with emotion but trust me - it's totally worth it!

IGNORE THE CRITICS - This film is AWESOME! How it was a ‘flop’ was more than likely attributed to the bad press following Depp at the time, however, after abit of a Depp marathon, running through the classics like Edward scissor hands and pirates, I read the ‘critics’ reviews and almost gave this a miss but thought - why not. It’s now one of my favourite films! Easy to watch, sterling cast, and the way Johnny and Paul go about their roles in this film really had me almost crying laughing. Why do people take things so serious - just sit back and enjoy some silliness/craziness for a while! Great little twist at the end… absolutely LOVE this film and well worth a watch (if you don’t have a wooden suppository 🤣). 10/10
