The Departed is indeed one of the best movie made during 2006, and it certainly deserved the award of the Oscar Best picture. However, being a remake of the classic Internal Affair Trilogy, the movie lacked a sense of digging deep into human emotion. The movie's plot is quick, and unsettling as it doesn't explain details of the character's life. The Final part where the mole inside the police was shot dead was extremely poor made, as the movie director had tried to compress the entire Internal Affair III into that short part. Overall, a good movie to watch, but not a classic hit as it's original Chinese Version.
