This movie was actually based of a really experiment that happening 1960 to 1970! A Californian teacher was trying to teach his students how the Nazis came to power but they didn't understand how the German public (at the time) could claim ignorance. The e xcperiment itself only lasted 5 days, but by the third the students had independently created a body guard/police system to enforce the rules. They were beating up other student over it! It originally started with just 30 students and the teacher, but by the fourth day they had over 200 participants. On the fifth, the teacher gathered them all in a hall for a "rally" and then played a video on Nazi Germany and explained it was a social experiment and apologised it got so out of hand. The thing is, by this point people were so invested in it, some continued with it after it had ended, showing just how deeply rooted this ideology had been planted!
