Great book. The book is both funny and terrifying at the same time. Quite philosophical and deep but also useful and relatable. I can say it personally put my mind at ease in some ways but also made me aware of things I need to keep in check to live a better life. It has made an impact on me as someone who is trying to become a better Christian and increase my faith. But I can also see how it can be a unique interesting read for a non religious person who could make use of some lessons to help them be led to what philosophers call "the good life". Main thing I got out of it is live a balanced, joyful life with loving relationships. Whether you can do that without God, I don't know, but I believe this book helps those reading it understand that it's easier if you do. Whether it's worldly desires, obsessions, impusivities, vices, or demons, something is always trying to muck up our journey to full life satisfaction.
