After reading all the books of the series in the last three years, I had to stop The Order early in the book. With The Cellist, I was hoping for a return to the version of writing I had been so intrigued, but alas, Daniel Silva took the path of kookdom. It was fun while it lasted. Sometimes, it is just better to know when to retire so you don't tarnish your legacy.

I understand that Silva has made fun of Bush and Obama, so fully expecting him to bash Trump too. He tries to be so insightful on COVID-19, but he wrote it too early to realize that his narrative should have been that vaccines were the only salvation, not that Trump was so stupid for promoting vaccines. "Will he tell his people the truth, or will he promise that a vaccine and lifesaving treatments are just around the corner?" Maybe that is the next book.
