If you loved reading The Rook avoid the series. After the first five minutes the plot takes a hard right away from it, sets itself on fire, and then dives off a cliff. Characters are completely changed, others are missing, and most of all, the dry humor the permeated the book is completely missing. Now if you've never read the book you might like the series, but believe me you would do better to turn off the TV and pick up the book.
