I am not really at all into these types of Shows due to their usual overall predictability (and because I'm an Atheist). However, I do enjoy watching great entertainment. This series my wife really really enjoyed. I've come to the realization over the years that women in general love to be terrified when watching Horror movies as a whole. I think it's awesome myself because it's also one of my favorite genres as well. Anyway, long story short... My wife was trying hard to get my to watch the show. So one night while she slept, I gave it a go. I power-watched the whole season. I have to say, while it wasn't that terrifying to me, it was really entertaining, and had many eerie and creepy feeling moments. I loved all the effects in the show, they were all really well done. The writing was decent, the acting was honestly pretty good, and the lighting and cinematography and camera work were well-done. I'm not going to say it's the best show ever as it takes a lot to usually hook me into a show. The very first episode had me hooked and intrigued. There were a few draggy moments here and there as with any show out there to be honest. But overall it left me with wanting more. I feel there should NOT be any more seasons made. I feel season 1 ended on a fulfilling note.
