I have struggled with this show through season 1 and part of 2. The writers have made the character Hope into a menopausal teenager, and it's embarrassing to watch. And ol' Doc, with all his "maturity and wisdom" just shakes his head fondly at her idiotic antics. I feel sorry for Annette O'Toole, an accomplished actress, who has to spew this junk each episode. The writers should be ashamed of themselves. They had a great opportunity with this character. Same with Charmaine, again a lost opportunity to address the challenges and triumphs of an extended family. I am done with this show.
