No. SPOILERS AHEAD! For any fan of the originals this movie only served to remind me (with its constant exerts) that I'd rather be watching any of those instead. Agent Smith was not Agent Smith. I don't know if it was the writing or the acting, or both! But the feeling certainly was not there. What did they do to Trinity, and why'd it have to be this! Don't even get me started on the waste of time that was Io and Niobe. Most pointless scenes of the movie hes back, hes imprisoned, no hes not, hes out, hes back again, ok lets go! The movie felt entirely pointless, what was the reason it was brought back? Money is the only answer. I was not left with any sense of intrigue or depth just general annoyance that it (naturally) fell short. The only thing they convinced me of was that the team behind this movie were those same guys in the gaming office throwing buzz words around.

Just watched this movie with my boyfriend, both loved it. Its got action, comedy, and a ton of feels. Really loved how the main character was written and performed. Would recommend.
