This is one of the best Sci-fi action films I have ever seen. I have watched it dozens of times, never tire of the battle action at sea, the funny, quirky characters in lead roles, the innovative way they fight back against a vastly superior alien force, Taylor’s beautiful girl friend and her stern, disapproving father (Neeson), and especially the special effects (the aliens are just awesome). In the category of everybody is a critic, my brother served in the navy in the Vietnam war and he said it is so unrealistic. To which I respond, of course, it’s fiction! I give my highest recommendation for this movie. Buy it, then watch it cause trust me, you will want to watch it over and over.

Loved the original SWAT series, love police shows in general and found this SWAT series to be engaging, entertaining and full of lots of action. I know some people like more realism, but I prefer my entertainment to show the good guys winning, and this show does that. I liked all the characters except Chris, with the perpetual chip on her shoulder. I deducted a star because Hollywood always has to push the liberal/woke agenda: racism in particular, but also sexism, environmentalism, the stereotype of corrupt police departments, victimhood of minorities and whatever is on the liberal/woke agenda du jour. it alienates half the audience to make the show’s stars heroes of the Left only. Still the actors were engaging enough, I could ignore this all too common aspect of TV and movies today and recommend the show.
