A great contribution to the Marvel Archive, and in keeping with the epic proportions of recent Marvel Universe history.
On the not so favorable reviews, it's in keeping with a pattern, there is the great film that is framed as such and the shallow conveyor belt nonsense reviewed as such, and then there is a grey area, films that make critics and cinema goes uneasy, and they're not sure why, so they berate. This was true of the Darren Aronofsky film the Fountain, of the Bohemian Rhapsody (song not the film) when first released, as if initially taken to be trite, when they're in actual fact, subtlety radical.
Stella performances, stunning visuals, and effects, and revelatory. It gives another, more in-depth review and enhanced perspective, on the effect of receiving such intense pressure and power, as an alternative embodiment of Captain Marvel.
