Ironically for a book about writing whose narrator is an aspiring writer, this book was much too long. The characters were unappealing and cliched, the plot boring. Too much navel gazing with an attempt at profundity by bringing in astrophysics. I listened to about 40% (why?) and then skipped to the end. The audible narrator was also irritating, with odd choppy pauses in her reading and some mispronounced foreign words like frisson and Neue Gallery.
