I absoloutley love this game! It's kid friendly and great fun. Slime Rancher is just such a happy game and I have never enjoyed any STEAM experience more. There's just so much to explore and all of it makes me smile on the worst of days. The main idea of it does sound a little strange at first, but it is so addictive and captivating. Everything makes perfect sense once you've played it! Behind the happy theme, there is an interesting storyline that really draws you in, that you, Beatrix Lebeau, have arrived on a planet 1,000 light years away to make a change in your life, but as other ranchers remind you, it's lonely on the Far, Far Range. As you get to know other characters, you might realise that they might be kinder than you thought they were. There's a few funny little mysteries for you to ponder, like what characters mean when they talk about their backstories, and the gender of your loved one back on Earth. But for players who don't want to get involved in the storyline, they can easily ignore the Starmail and character dialogue if they don't want to read it, and just get to work! There are slimes to discover, ranches to unlock and a ranch of your own to care for. New areas can be explored, hostile Tarr exploded and hidden volts to uncover. You'll never run out of content or fun, silly things to do in Slime Rancher and there is honestly nothing negative I have to say about it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
