Actually 1.5 stars not 2. The movie is just a collection of used lines from other movies with some filler between scenes. I was extremely excited to have another Smith film to add to my collection, unfortunately, this one will not make it. Having watched all of his other material multiple times, I could barely get through this one. This film is just one long introduction to his daughter poorly playing a "Jay" type character. The movie has some funny scenes and some wonderful throwback moments, but not nearly enough substance to encourage me to visit it again. The running gags, I use this term very loosely, are repetitive and not funny (i.e. Silent Bob cell phone garbage). I wonder at what point Kevin thought this was a great movie. I hate to think he believes his audience to be this stupid. No matter, as with all things they can't always be hits, I will hope that Clerks 3 will make up for this mess.
