This show has heart, and some comedy. I enjoy the fact that people find themselves being better by expecting more from themselves. But this show takes itself too seriously and there are some unusually long flashbacks that are tedious, insubstantial, and often meant to be canon events. Those scenes are contrived and lack depth. It’s the like the runners are like, if we shoot it like this that’s gotta elicit empathy from anywhere we can get it. And that’s a cheapened experience makes me feel robbed of time I’m never getting back.

As an actual intellectual this movie started out intriguing. In the end the only thing proved was a young woman manipulated men. And the rest of the students are patsies. Turtles and plants take up oxygen. The first two thought experiments should have failed immediately. I am offended that anyone was entertained by this garbage.

What’s interesting about this movie is that it’s just another way to show how much goes unappreciated in society. But it’s too intellectually flimsy for the average person to take much from it. And I mean truly in the sense of it’s intention. It’s easy to become jaded. I am. If something comes along, anything at all, that can make you pause and think… then think about it. Good luck to everyone. You’re still missing the point.

Worst movie I’ve ever seen. Up there with XXX State of the Union and Atonement. Nonsensical, weak story, every scene is absurd to the point of making me want to stab my face with a taco until I die.

Take the perspective that it’s how these people choose to interpret their beliefs and signs from inbred oracles and throw it all in a film. Almost fell asleep watching this. It does have traditional shock factors under the guise of “these are our beliefs and that justifies our actions,” type of vibe. It wasn’t a typical horror story, and I’ll give it that… but to put it in the horror genre is akin to saying the Bible is a horror story. Go there if you want. These people punish the “wicked” and celebrate their lifestyles with no shame or hesitation. At its core it’s easy to digest. The only thing that didn’t vibe was the Christian Beast sacrifice. Like, why not purge one of your own? I suppose in reality sacrificing an outsider makes some sense. But overall it’s not compelling in any sense of the word except for begging at your sensibilities. If you have an open mind this movie will do nothing for you.

When Gloria goes into her speech at one hour and 15 minutes it killed the entire movie. Being a HUMAN is hard. Both men and women have issues tied into the stigma of their gender. This movie goes so hard into gender bias against men. it’s offensive. Men’s’ struggles are just as legitimate as women’s and whatever misguided moron wrote this needs a lesson about the realities of life. This whole struggle began because the Barbies were treating the Kens like garbage. You can’t make a movie that is disguised by a cute storyline with serious implications and an underlying message that men are responsible for everyone’s struggles. And that BS in the end about the President Barbie having to enlighten Mr. Mattel because he’s “stupid”. I regret watching this movie.
