Possibly a thinly disguised suggestion of the torrid affair of Prince Edward VII with a Parisian young woman. Not a script worthy of Ingrid Bergman’s skill. She did beautifully, overwhelming the inexperience of Liza. It is fun to watch, interesting attempt at period costuming.
