The development of Ahsoka from snips to a mature warrior in the clone wars, to a calming and wise force being in rebels was phenomenal. But this series completely confused her calmness and wisedom and replaced it with silence and lack of emotions. Even Thrawn lost his whole personality and became just another npc like military leader.
Also, the show wasn't able fill the plot holes left like Ahsoka's disappearance in the period between pre timeskip rebels to new republic era to a satisfactory level.
Another problem I felt was that when Ezra said that he needs to see this to the end in rebels it felt like Ezra had foreseen something and his disappearance to an unknown location could mean some interesting plot to the Jedi's under Luke and the New Republic or maybe an uneasy allaince with Thrawn to survive the unknown but instead we got an Ezra who did literally nothing in those years while Thrawn whose main motive wasn't fully to serve Imperials to being with becoming their new figure.
And the way Force was treated ruins years of image Jedi-Yoda vibe.
Another problem is that if there is a technology to travel to another galaxy, then the mysteriousness of Purgils and the whole point of having a Galactic empire fails.
The only thing I liked about this series was the justice give to Witches by giving them a nice and convincing backstory respecting hype the made during the Clone wars.
