I don’t understand the low reviews, this was really good

The storms were just brief pictures and videos of real storms you can watch on youtube without having to succumb to this “plot”. The music felt very off for the thriller vibe that the visuals were giving. Sometimes the music even felt….romantic? We accidentally watched the first five minutes on mute; I think that would've made this at least 2 stars better. It was giving Jurassic park but boring. Didn’t understand the machine either tbh. The green screening was hilarious

Awful, even under the influence. Think this was all an ad for gas stations. Felt like 3 different movies. There were a handful of scenes that outlasted their welcome. The only saving grace is the amount of famous cast they had, but that could only do so much. Don’t recommend. Also the whole budget was toward the end of the movie, wish they would’ve sprinkled that throughout

Long drawn-out scenes. Want to have some fun? Take a shot every time someone falls into the water (j.k, binge drinking is bad for you). It’s the same three scene over and over. Their “paddling” in the movie is super pathetic, no urgency, and just took me out of it because it was too unbelievable. There were a lot of moments where the actors looked like they were standing in the water lmao

I NEVER write movie reviews. Wasn’t even a good bad-movie. Tedious, boring, and overstayed its welcome. Didn’t care for the editing, effects, writing, or acting. So many scenes were three times longer than necessary, repeating the same dialogue/emotions back-to-back before going on to the next scene. I will say that at some points it was so awful it was ALMOST FUNNY. What’s worse is that we love shark movies, even the bad ones, until this one. Felt like a bad fever dream. Most unsatisfying “shark movie” ever. We powered through and watched the whole thing cause we aren’t quitters. I really wish we hadn’t though.
