I saw this book on Pinterest and was fascinated by the title. I had high hopes for it but I couldn't get past the first chapter due to the inconsistencies in the writing. It went from being incredibly complex to overly simple, before going back to being complex. I can't tell if it was lazy writing or an attempt to seem more relatable. Either way, it wasn't a good idea, in my opinion. It made what should have been a good book seem very dull.
The most memorable example of this from my short time of reading was when she talked about how women are often diagnosed as hysterical by male/authoritative figures in our society (which I thought was brilliant), and then she casually inserted the sentence, 'take a Xannax girl, and calm down' (which I thought was silly). The latter statement roused disdain far greater than the satisfaction that I got from all the earlier, more sensible statements.
TL;DR: the writing isn't good in my opinion.
